Cycle life. A typical AGM lead-acid battery handles roughly 500 cycles at 50% DOD. LiFePO4 delivers 6,000+ cycles at 80% DOD — 10+ years of daily home use, while lead-acid needs replacement every 3–5 years.
Usable capacity. Lead-acid should not go below 50% DOD; LiFePO4 discharges to 80–90%, so a smaller lithium pack replaces a much larger lead-acid bank.
Efficiency and weight. Round-trip efficiency around 95% vs 75–85% for lead-acid, and roughly half the weight — which matters for wall-mounted installations.
Replacing an existing bank? Our 12V/24V drop-in LiFePO4 series keeps the same voltage window and fits most inverters. Send us your current bank size and we will recommend the equivalent pack.
